How to get a Hesperia Community Library card

We serve patrons who live in: Newfield Township, Denver Township, Greenwood Township and the part
of Beaver Township that is part of the Hesperia Community School District.

You can now apply for a card online by following this link: Online Card Application

If you are a minor (under 18 years old):

•  Bring your parent/legal guardian to the library.
• Parent/legal guardian must have a Michigan driver’s license or Michigan ID and have a current
  library card. The ID must have your current address on it.

Parent/legal guardian must fill out information for a card for you.

If you are not a minor:

•  Bring a valid Michigan driver’s license or Michigan ID with your current address to the library.
•  Fill out our form including 2 people not related to you as references.

If you do not live in our service area you have two options:

School-year Card:

• Bring your parent/legal guardian to the library.
• Parent/legal guardian must have a Michigan driver’s license or Michigan ID with a
  current address.
• Parent/legal guardian must fill out an application for a card that you can use during the
  school year. These cards are valid from September 1st until May 1st

Non-Resident Card:

• Bring your parent/legal guardian to the library.
•  Parent/legal guardian must have a Michigan driver’s license or Michigan ID with a
  current address.
• This card will cost $12 for 3 months or $48 for a year.

You will be limited to materials available in our building – no Lakeland Cooperative
borrowing, MeL borrowing or access to downloadable ebooks or audiobooks.
The library card is meant to be used only by the person whose name is on the card. They are not family
cards.

If you have a card at another library you can check out materials at our library unless you have unpaid
fees on your record.
